About this section
The Coloproctology Section aims to promote the multidisciplinary care of patients with diseases of the colon, rectum and anus, and to encourage clinical research and the education of consultants and trainees.
Section Council members
Section meetings and conferences are usually organised by members of the Section Council, led by the Section President and often in collaboration with specialist societies.

Coloproctology Section: Overseas meeting to Rijeka, Croatia - travelling fellows
Deadline: Tuesday 10 February 2026.
Open to: All coloproctology and surgery resident doctors.
Prize: Three travelling fellowships of £500 each to the overseas meeting to Croatia in June 2026. The prize winner is required to attend the overseas meeting in order to be able to claim the £500.
Meeting date: Wednesday 10 - Sat 13th June 2026.
